European Association for
Environmental History UK
Home. About us. Past events.
The European Association for Environmental History was founded in 1989. The
UK Branch has held annual Meetings nearly every year since the early 90’s.
The parent organisation was closed down in 1995, but the UK Branch continued.
We now work in conjunction with the successor European level body to the
EAEH, which is the European Society for Environmental History (which has its
own UK section). We are now an informal grouping, and if you would like to be
on our distribution list, just email to tell us.
There is no membership fee.
Our meetings provide a forum for academics and professionals from the physical,
natural and social sciences, as well of course as the humanities, to discuss their
work in the field of environmental history, which we define very inclusively.
